Garnet Serpent Ring

This tricklingly bolt ring, features two beautiful Rhodolite garnets, that have been set into the double serpent design. The ring is all set in 9ct rosier yellow gold giving it almost a two tone affect. The ring is beautifully hallmarked and dates it to its manufacture in Birmingham 1913.

The serpent has long been the symbol of eternity across many cultures, the double serpent represents the bond of two loves entwined for eternity. This became a very popular sentiment with the Victorians who had a true connection to the language of love, and this was epitomized by the fact that Queen Victoria choose the double serpent design for her own wedding ring and the popularity continued to grow from there following into the Edwardian era, making this ring a true lasting influence of the pre WWII Edwardian Era.
