This striking rectangular ring features 17 beautiful diamonds arranged in five diagonal stripes. Each stripe has a millgrain border framing in a line of pave set diamonds, graduating in number across the face of the ring. The centre stripe is the main feature, with three of the seven diamonds larger than their neighbours.
This type of simplified Art Deco style platinum mount was made in the 1950's. It has a prettty, open worked underside, giving it 360 degree interest.
At some point in its 70 odd year history, this statement piece has been given a new 14ct white gold band which unlatches and opens out with hinges, similar to a watch band. This means the ring can be placed over an arthritic knuckle, yet fit snuggly when rejoined in position on the finger. It can equally be worn on a non-arthritic finger of the correct size.
This is a gorgeous vintage ring, which looks fantastic on the finger and is very comfortable to wear - one you can enjoy your whole life long.
